Frequently Asked Questions

About Verse Zine & The Art

How is Verse Zine different from traditional stock image libraries?

Unlike mass-market stock sites, Verse Zine focuses on curated collections with a cohesive aesthetic. We favor bold, emotionally resonant, and stylized imagery to provide you with visuals that have soul. Our images are created by an experienced designer and are not scraped from public datasets or shared across other platforms. The result is sharper creative direction and a much lower chance of someone else using the same image as you.

What does “royalty-free” mean?

"Royalty-free" means you pay once—via a subscription credit—and can then use the image forever in personal or commercial projects without ongoing fees or royalties. You can modify, publish, or incorporate the images into your own work, subject to a few simple restrictions.

What kind of images do you offer (styles, subjects, resolution)?

We focus on high-impact themes across editorial, conceptual, mythic, and design-forward styles. All images are 300 DPI and provided in TIFF and PNG formats. While each file's exact dimensions are listed on its page, you can expect a minimum of 3000 pixels on the shortest side, making them print-ready and versatile.

How often do you add new images to the library?

New collections are released regularly, usually one or two complete sets per month. Our focus is on quality and curation over sheer volume, so you can expect each new drop to be distinct and thoughtfully assembled.

Are the images exclusive to Verse Zine?

Yes. All images in our library are exclusive to Verse Zine. You won’t find them on other stock sites or AI platforms.

License & Usage

What am I allowed to do with the images? Can I use them for commercial projects?

Yes, absolutely! Once you license an image, you can use it in your commercial projects—including websites, ads, social media posts, product packaging, books, merchandise, and more. Creative transformation like cropping, remixing, and compositing is encouraged.

What uses are prohibited?

You may not:

  • Resell or redistribute an image as a standalone file (even if modified).
  • Use an image as the main value in a product (e.g., a poster where the image is the entire product).
  • Use an image in logos, trademarks, or service marks.
  • Use an image in defamatory, illegal, hateful, or obscene contexts.
  • Use our assets in AI training datasets or machine learning models.

Do I need to give credit or attribution when I use an image?

No credit is required for most uses. However, if your project includes a credits section (such as in a film, TV show, or video game), you must include the following line: Imagery licensed from Verse Zine (versezine.com)

Can I use images in films, TV shows, or video games?

Yes, our license fully covers media use. If your project includes credits, you are required to include the attribution noted above and notify us of the credited use by emailing [attribution@versezine.com] with your project details.

Subscription & Billing

How do the subscription plans and credits work?

Your subscription gives you a set number of credits each month. Each image in the library costs one or more credits to license, as listed on its page.

Can I buy just one image without a subscription?

Yes. For users who only need a single asset, we offer the option to purchase a one-time credit.

What happens to my unused credits at the end of the month?

They roll over for up to six months from their issue date. After that, they expire. If you cancel your subscription, any unused credits will be forfeited when your final billing period ends.

What if I run out of credits?

At launch, we offer a single, simple plan. We do not currently offer top-up credits, but we’re tracking demand and may offer expanded options in the future.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Currently, we offer one primary subscription plan for simplicity. If we introduce additional tiers later, you will be able to manage them through your account settings.

Do you offer refunds?

No. All payments are non-refundable, and there are no partial refunds for unused credits or time. We encourage you to explore our library and policies before subscribing.

How is my payment information kept secure?

All payments are securely handled through Stripe via our membership platform, Memberstack. We never see or store your full payment details on our servers.

Account & Support

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. You will retain full access and benefits until the end of your current billing period.

If I cancel, can I still use the images I already downloaded?

Yes. The license for any image you downloaded during your active subscription is perpetual. You keep the rights to use those images forever according to our license terms.

How do I download my images? Can I re-download them later?

After redeeming credits, you’ll be prompted to download the image immediately. You can also log in to your account at any time to access your full library of licensed assets for re-download.

Who do I contact if I have a technical issue or a question?
